Eve of Midnight: Reimagine Calamity - Quick Reference Cheat Sheet

Single-player roguelike (you vs. the AI Encounter). Updated for Spec 007: no end-of-turn discard, deck-out is harmless, and the run is lost only when your heroes are gone.

  1. The Archive Repository — your deck; face-down, drawn top-first; not inspectable/reorderable except by effect.
  2. Hand — cards held; hidden from the Encounter.
  3. Reserve — channeled, persistent resources.
  4. The Wastes — the shared battlefield (your side + the enemy side); deployed characters live here.
  5. The Abyss — discard; reshuffles into the Archive when it empties.
  6. The Void — permanent removal; cards never return on their own.
  7. Hero zone — your heroes (a distinct entity type, not cards); 3 player slots, permadeath.
  8. Task Zone — shared World Tasks.
